Westway Sessions
Piano Smithfield London

The Westway Sessions is a new intimate concert series launched in May 2022 at the fabulous music venue Piano, Smithfield.  Set in a smart basement near the Barbican and boasting a superb setting for live music, the Sessions have hosted some of the most exciting names in musical theatre, including Alice Fearn, Rob Houchen, Rachel John, Cassidy Janson, John Owen-Jones and Natalie Paris.

We are delighted to announce that our third season will take place in Oct/Nov 2022 and has another fantastic line up of artists. So get your tickets now!

Ceili is an award-nominated cabaret singer and professional actress who has appeared in various musicals including The Wizard of Oz, London Palladium, Mary Poppins, The Prince Edward & Cats the Musical in the European and International Tour. 

 

Ceili is thrilled to be bringing an array of eclectic music to the Westway sessions alongside sharing some of her standout life stories with you all.

 

Act 1 will be filled with her favourite Billy Joel songs with the extraordinary Sam Young on keys, “It only felt right to have an upcoming genius on the piano when singing the songs of Billy Joel, the original piano man himself”.  If that wasn’t enough, Act 2 will be a mixture of your favourite musical theatre classics, impersonations, jazz & much more!

Emma is currently starring in the UK premier of The Band’s Visit at The Donmar Warehouse.

 

She recently appeared as Julie Jordan in Carousel and Heather Chandler in Heathers.

 

Emma kicked off the Westway Sessions' first season with the first concert back in May, alongside the brilliant Rob Houchen, and now she’s back as a solo artist, to take you on a journey through her career and singing some of her favourite songs.

100 YEARS OF THEATRE - Tour Preview

Joe Stilgoe is an internationally acclaimed singer, pianist and songwriter. Known for writing songs that feel like they've been around for years, and adapting classics that sound as though they were just written. He has released 9 albums, his most recent being the acclaimed album 'Theatre', released on Westway Music.


Over the course of his varied career Joe has become a true modern-day entertainer, known globally as a performer of wit and style, with a level of musicianship that has seen him recognised as one of the best singer-pianists in the world. Always searching for a new way of bringing, not only his own songs, but also those he loves from the past to a new audience.

This show is a great opportunity to see Joe in this small venue prior to him setting off on his '100 Years of Theatre' tour.

Keith Jack is best-known for appearing on BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do where he came second.

Theatre credits include: The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour); Charlie in Only The Brave (Edinburgh Festival); Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour); Alistair in Sincerely, Mr Toad (Edinburgh/Greenwich); Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore (UK Tour) and Sparky in Forever Plaid (St James Theatre, London). Keith played the part of Nick Piazza in the 30th anniversary West End production of Fame. He’s currently playing the lead in Sunshine on Leith and Noises Off for the Pitlochry Season. 

 

Concert appearances include: Performing for HM The Queen at the Parliament Picnic; performing for the Spanish Royal Family. The Great Scot Awards; Choices for Life 2008 & 2009; Lauder Live (Thirlestane Castle); BBC 2’s Friday Night is Music Night; John Barrowman’s album tour (Hammersmith Apollo); Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Birthday Concert (Hyde Park); BBC Songs of Praise. Keith also headlined Aberdeen’s Hogmanay Street Party in 2009 with Sandi Thom and Amy MacDonald. An Evening of Movies and Musicals with John Owen Jones and Ruthie Henshall (Cardiff/Edinburgh). He also performed alongside Ruthie Henshall during her solo tour. Keith appeared alongside Joe McElderry in Saturday Night at the Movies (UK Tour)

 

Keith’s newly-released fourth album, Movie Nights, features classic songs from iconic movies.

West End and TV star Lee Mead is one of the UK’s favourite performers and has starred in West End shows including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Wicked and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as well as on our television screens in Holby City and Casualty. This is a fantastic opportunity to see and hear Lee up close and personal in this intimate venue, where he’ll perform favourites from his broad repertoire.

Billy Luke Nevers

Having studied at Arts Educational Schools in London, Billy has gone on to have a varied career on the West End stage. Productions include Jesus Christ Superstar (The Barbican), Bring it On (Southwark Playhouse), Spring Awakening (Curve, Leicester) and The Colour Purple in Concert (Cadogan Hall).

Louise Dearman

British musical theatre actress Louise Dearman is widely known through her many performances both on national tours and in London’s West End.
In recent projects she headlined at the St James Theatre, Victoria, starred in An Evening of Movies and Musicals at the Apollo Victoria Theatre and at Swansea’s Grand Theatre. She also featured on Friday Night is Music Night on BBC Radio 2. Louise’s first album 'You and I' was released in 2005, and was followed by 'Here Comes the Sun' (2012), and 'It’s Time' (2013).
