Biography

Sydnie Christmas

Sydnie Christmas, the sensational winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2024, has swiftly become one of the most talked-about vocal talents in the world. Her breathtaking performances during Britain’s Got Talent captured the hearts of millions, including the notoriously tough judge, Simon Cowell, who declared; “That was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. 11 out of 10”

Hailing from Gravesham in Kent, she studied at the D&B Academy of Performing Arts and made her London stage debut in Lazarus. The ex-gym worker went on to perform on cruise ships and also in Germany, where she performed in productions including Grease and Starlight Express.

Following her historic victory, Sydnie released her debut album “My Way” on Westway Music, marking a monumental start to her recording career. The album features reimagined versions of beloved classics, including the musical theatre songs that defined her journey on BGT, alongside fresh takes on modern hits like Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” and The Script’s “Hall of Fame”. Sydnie also added a festive touch with her renditions of “O Holy Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.

Sydnie’s talent garnered the attention of musical legend Andrew Lloyd Webber, who invited her to perform the theme song for his new London production of Starlight Express, praising her vocal as “exquisite” and “emotionally charged.”

At the end of 2024, Sydnie gave an outstanding performance of “Believer” for King Charles at the 2024 Royal Variety Performance, a prestigious event that further showcased her extraordinary talent on one of the world’s grandest stages and on national television.

Also in the Autumn, Sydnie performed at LA’s Hollywood Bowl at 16 Grammy Award winner David Foster’s birthday celebration event, after he fell in love with her voice watching her Britain’s Got Talent performances. Foster has worked with the likes of Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin to name but a few.

Sydnie finished an amazing 2024 by going home for Christmas to star in Dartford’s Orchard West’s production of Sleeping Beauty, where she played Fairy Christmas.

In February 2025, Sydnie embarked on her debut solo headline tour, performing at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including a sell-out performance at London’s Aldwych Theatre. In summer 2025, Sydnie starred in her first West End show, as Cruela de Vil in 101 Dalmations The Musical at the Hammersmith Apollo. September saw another stunning solo show at London’s Adelphi Theatre which was filmed for future broadcast in the UK and US.

Sydnie has recently finished writing and recording her next album, The Artist to be released on 2nd October. The Artist is a deeply personal, self-written record. Co-written by Sydnie on all but one track, the album serves as a musical diary, reflecting on her life and the highs and lows of her career in the music and theatre industries and is her most honest and authentic work to date.
